Hi TexasHonda, I saw somewhere else, you mention you had a PDF showing how to remove and replace distributor O ring and seal and the steps involved. Would be most appreciative to receive the PDF. My member name is "Ronnee",thanks.

I don't have any distributor problem's, but since my car (a 2000 EX 4) has >150K on it, I'm thinking I may replace it. I have heard that there are distributor problems with some Civic's. Do Accord owner's have to be especially watchful for failures? I've never changed the cap/rotor on this car, but I have removed it two or three times to inspect and clean. No remarks found, so I just reinstalled.

The older accords (90-93) had problems. My 95 accord had 240K miles on the original distributor.

I would only replace the distributor if there was some kind of problem.

I would suggest replacing the distributor cap and distributor rotor, since you haven't done that. I suggest OEM parts, but others think aftermarket parts are of good quality. It is up to you.

Thank's for that information. I feel much better about the reliability of my car. Just ordered a cap/rotor/gasket from HPN.
