Default Preparing to replace master cylinder

'94 Accord EX 2.2LVTEC MT-So i need a master cylinder and need to flush the system due to contaminated fluid. I am a little worried about the best way to flush out the system becauseI have ABS. Will i run into any problems if i just keep bleeding the system at each wheeland refilling till the fluid is new, or is there a certain procedure i must go through?

ABS has a separate reservoir and exchanges little fluid w/ the normal braking system. I've had clean fluid after years of operation w/ much dirtier (color wise) in the brake reservoir. Still you can bleed and flush the system by opening the ABS bleeder to flush all fluid.

Bleed 4 wheels in sequence recommended by Honda; LR, RR, LF, RF I believe. It is not that critical which order to bleed as long as you thoroughly bleed each wheel.

I would recommend an OEM master cylinder to avoid the problem w/ adjusting the booster push rod/master cylinder gap. OEM MC should insure gap is same as you now have.

good luck

Bench bleed the master before you install it; saves lots of time
