RE: Pumping Gas Question
exactly.. your fuel pump gets more wear when the gas is lower in the tank, I have had a lot of ppl tell me never to let a fuel injected car get below 1/2 tank because of how hard the fuel pump has to work below a certain level.

RE: Pumping Gas Question
On 94-97 accords the fuel guage was actually setup so that on the 17gal tank it would show empty at 12, that way it protects the fuel pump. But yes, going below 1/4 tank isn't good for the pump.

also, i once owned a camry and in the manual it said it is bad for the catalytic converter. so, that could be an issue as well but i am not sure for our accords. i do know that there is a 3 way catalytic converter on the accord (at least in this 6th generation).

RE: Pumping Gas Question
The gasoline cools & lubricates the pump. So the most important thing it NEVER let it go all the way empty.
When it gets close to empty, there's a greater risk of sucking air if you park on a hill or go around a corner fast.
