Default Is purchase of Accord LX battery in Walmart cheapest?

I used to buy my 97 Honda Accord LX battery in Walmart. The battery needs to be replaced again. Is the vehicle battery in Walmart cheapest? If no, where can I shop for a cheap reliable vehicle battery? Thank you for your answer.

How quickly are you going through batteries?

I think most of the chain store batteries will be about the same cost. I don't know of one battery brand that is any worse than other brands.

I tend to disagree. Pick up a quality battery, an Interstate perhaps, then pick up a Walmart/Autozone battery of the same size and tell me if you can feel the difference. Good batteries have more lead, and tend to last longer.

That being said, if you don't have the money, you don't have the money. If you can get a battery for $30, instead of $100 and you can afford $30, then do it.

There is another option though. Interstate sometimes has good batteries that have been sitting on the shelf for a while, or have been returned, recharged and tested good. They call them EconoPower, and they are sometimes as little as $25. Check in your area for the Interstate battery distributor. I have gone straight to them and asked for an econopower battery in my size and been successful.

Costco or Sam's Club is usually the cheapest. Consumer Reports rates Costco's Kirkland batteries the best bang for the buck.

I saw Duracell car Battery in the Sam's for 3 years warranty, Walmart EverStar Plus for 2 years and EverStar Maxx for 5 years. The price has no big difference. Two years warranty is enough. I wonder which car battery is better, Duracell or EverStar?
