Default Putting Sirius in a 2003 LX

Is there a kit or something to make it nice and easy?

I tried using the search tool... didnt come up with anything when I typed in "sirius" as the search term.

Thank you.

Isnt XM the factory partner with Honda? Might want to look into that, if you want to stay factory. Actually, Sirius and XM are merging anyway, so it will eventually be one in the same.

fair enough. Look into the AUX adapter, or an FM modulator. You'll have to get a portable sirius unit for that as well.

yeah i def dont want to go the hoky route of an fm mod... i want to find a way to hard wire it, either via through the AUX input, or by replacing the deck itself.

Actually, you can get the FM mod that piggy backs onto the antenna input into the deck. Sounds pretty good, and its a ton cheaper, since the dash isnt very welcoming to aftermarket units. We just discussed that in here a month or so ago, so its probably still floatin around in here somewhere. I tried to look for it, but either I am a total toe, or the search function isnt working.

would love a link for the fm mod if you ahve one...
or a link to the thread you are referring to... im a bit new here... so if I 5 star super member cant find it i doubt i can. As i said i did try using the search function.

im assuming there are deck kits that would allow you to buy a cd w/ sirius and install it into the deck?

5 star doesnt meant anything...jsut the amount of posts I have...so become a post wh*re like myself, and join the ranks!

I had one of these installed in my 94 Accord way back when, and it was part of the package that came with the sirius tuner / display. I beleive it hooked into the AUX out from the Sirius, and then adapted to the antenna plug in back. All the controls for the FM mod (frequency, etc) were on the siruis unit. You may want to check their products for similar features.

why not just buy a sirus head unit? and install that? wouldnt it be eaiser and look better than those other units that are just stuck on the dash. also make a housing for the reciver cause theos little magnatic ones look ghetto and scratch your paint,

You can also talk to a local car audio shop and get an inline FM modulator thingy that goes in between your antenna and deck in behind your radio so it's crystal clear and not visible.. I think they're like $25.00....

and yep, if 5 stars means you're a post wh*re then what does it mean when they give you the moderator tag? *L*
