Default quarter panel rust

hello, i just bought a 90 accord 2 door lx for my son's first car. my question: is there a ready made weld in replacement part available to repair rust holes at junction of quarter panel and q panel extension at rear wheel well area? i understand this is a common problem with honda cars. Anyone have any sugestions? I'm not sure if I can make up a peice with the curves and bends. thanks.

I was getting ready to do the same thing to my 95 a few months ago, but I moved to arizona and hopefully the rust won't keep growing. What I was planing to do was sand down all the rust so there is just metal. If its a hole then cut away the rust around the hole. You are on track to make a peice of sheet metal and then weld it in and what not. I was simply going to fabricate a hole patch out of fiber glass and sand it to fit and bondo lightly as the finishing touch. Then I would seal the entire area with truck bed liner, you can buy it an aerosol can at any parts store. I recommend the truck bed liner because I use to live in Maine where winters are harsh and so is the road salt and on a quiet night I could hear my Datsun 280ZX rusting, the liner stopped this. Oh, don't paint the outside of the car with the liner, just inside the wheel well area.
Of course I did have one car that I painted entirely with truck bed coating...

I agree slusher. You should be able to buy touch up paint from your dealer, if you don't mind the silver metal look. It's pretty expensive but it's better than getting the whole car painted ^_^

If you fabricate and replace the quarter panel with sheet metal and then sand it down and apply bondo you'll have the look of the bondo and the raw sheet metal to deal with. If you want to paint over it you should be able to buy some touch up paint from your dealer that will match perfectly. Unless you just want to paint the whole car, or deal with the sheet metal - bondo look.
