My friend suggested I used cinder blocks after jacking it up, is that a good substitute for ramps since they are a bit cheaper.

You stated you had jack stands, use those after jacking up the car to support the car. Cinder blocks may collapse under the weight of the car, dangerous imo.

"Cinder" blocks are dangerous because it's a "brittle-fracture" material. It can suddenly crack & crumble without warning.

IMO, buy the ramps. Three reason's come to mind: safety, convenience, and ease of maintenance.

Sorry what I meant to say was can I put them under the wheels, with the car jacked up of course, as an extra layer of safety in case of the jacks lowered?

Are they cheaper than the jacks? cause I already spent $65 on a kit which includes 2 jack stands, 1 floor jack, and 1 creeper from autozone.

$29.00 at WalMart. You don't need a stand, jack, or creeper and they are safer and easier to use.

He's already got jack AND STANDS. Ramps are a little easier for a few things where you don't need to take off the wheels, but stands are more useful for more different jobs.

Just don't get underneath with ONLY the jack. They can let the car down onto you if the valve decides to leak a bit. That's what the stands are for.

Sadly no, I can't find the jacking spot on the front end of the accord. Whenever I try to jack it up the frame goes up but the wheels doesn't come up with it
