Question about Tranmission Oil

Question about Tranmission Oil
I have looked through most if not all of this section and have not found the answer to my question.
I have the downloaded copy of the manual for my 1986 Honda Accord and according to the FSM (Factory Service Manual) it takes standard engine oil (10W-30) for my 5-speed manual transmission. Is that correct, or what should I use for the oil for the transmission.
I am fixing to replace the clutch and pressure plate due being safer than sorry, other than the fact that the car will start to move, then just stop and you can peg the RPM's at 5,000 (Red lines above this) and it will not move in gear at all.

You can use any engine oil in the older manual transmission accords. My 95 shop manual says that I can use 10W-30 or 10W-40 SF or SG grade.
Honda also sells their own manual transmission fluid that will work.

Thanks for the information. I was just leary about the Factory Service Manual stating about the engine oil in the transmission (10W-30) because while I am working on getting the tranmission ready to remove, the bolts that hold the transmission to the engine are bigger than what it says they are.

Honda MTF improved the shifting a bit in my 95 Integra. But yeah, it costs more.
Sometime after 96 or so, Honda began selling "their own" brand MTF which is completely compatible with their earlier transmissions which originally called for engine oil.
