Default Question~ Replacement cost of Civic Coupe replacement bumper?

Title says it. (new to forum ill probably get more active) sadly this is my first post.

Got into a little fender bender with a girl, put a 2 inch crack into her rear bumper. Speed around 10 mph or so. its a vertical crack on the driver side of the rear bumper.

Seeing how much it would cost to replace it? or can a body shop put some molding into it and repaint? Cost.... Im gonna try to talk to her and see if i can get her the money without doing insurance...

her car is a Civic coupe, 04 looking model, Silver color.

~Sam

thank you

I'm guessing $400-500 to fix & repaint.
Guessing maybe double (or less) for a new bumper & repaint.
I'm in the middle of that right now with my daughter's '07 Civic.

It's possible to "weld" the plastic bumper skin, kinda like melting plastic into the crack - from the inside after you remove the bumper skin from the car. Depends on exactly where & how big is the crack. Silver paint has to be blended out over a rather large area so it doesn't look wierd.

Shop rates ($ per hour) vary A LOT depending on where you are.

you might get a replacement bumper (not honda) for around $70-$110. paint will be around 120 maximum. then there the actual work... can you paint? it's fairly easy...
