I probably would go with the standard NGK plugs recomended for the car, I have not had much luck with platinum plugs and don't think they are worth the xtra money.
As far as plug wires, unless you think they are bad I would not replace them. I tried a set of NGK plug wires one time and had a tough time getting one of them to seal/clamp on the plug correctly and ended up putting the old ones back on. New dealer plug wires are pretty expensive at 100.00 or so.
I did go with the auto parts store for the cap/rotor.
Just my opinion and you know the saying about opinions.
Good luck

I was mentioning about Iridium IX which last longer than the one I've
& yes it's time to replace the spark plug wires (cut, kink, & loose connection)
I need a better opinion (still got time though)

I have been pricing parts (cap/rotor/wires) for a tune up on my '02 Accord. I checked out HondaPartsDeals.com, HondaAutoParts.com, TAS Parts, and Autozone. Prices range from $75 to $116, depending on if you went OEM or aftermarket parts. And when I say aftermarket, I mean NON high performance parts. Bottom line, it is your chariot, my friend. If you feel comfortable putting big bucks into it, then by all means, do it. I believe basic parts will get you down the road just as well as more expensive ones will. But that's just me. Your mileage may vary.

I think by 2000 the STOCK NGK plugs are platinum.
I'm fond of Honda factory plug wires, they seem to last forever.
I've heard of some parts-store-brand cap & rotors that don't work well, but not sure right now what store, what brand. You don't replace those very often, what's it actually cost to get OEM?
Performance aftermarket ignition parts (like wires etc) are kinda pointless on an otherwise-stock engine.
