Default Radio signal boost

Is there anything i can do to boost my radio reception, I have the stock honda deck, and I had to pull the power antenna. I replaced it with a 15" black rubber job. Works fine in the city but ten minutes out and I'm droping radio stations left right and center. I had one of these antennea's before (on another car) and it worked fine.

How about one of those in-line antenna amplifiers... I got one for a former car & never used it, so I really don't know whether they work well.

Never heard of them, are they expensive? Where might I get one?

Kmart, WalMart, or RadioShack or ??? Maybe AutoZone, don't remember. Pretty cheap, maybe $10 or $15. It needs 12v power & goes in-line with the antenna cable.

I'd check your radio cable for an open as it sounds like it really has a break in it.
