Default Rear Speaker Blown (I think)

Hey I'm not too tech savvy, but I know a fair amount about cars. I just bought a 2005 Accord LE, and its got the premium sound package. The driver side rear speaker (seems to provide most of the base) is clicking and popping when at high volume. I think it's blown, but I'm not sure what to do. I was thinking of trying to put a little 6 inch subwoofer in each of those speaker spots but am not sure what I can do. Does anyone have any advice for how I can remedy my crappy sounding rear windshield speaker (On a 3 day owned accord-damnit)? Thanks

Yeah .... rip out the crappy OEM speakers and replace them with appropriate aftermarket drivers.

are the numbers on the OEM speakers correct? 15 WAT normal, 30 WATT max? If I put something in like pioneer 150 max, can i plug into the original stock head unit or will I need an amp?

I replaced my door speakers with JL audio component, they sound great with bass but pricey. you can get any 2way speakers and hook them up without an amp.

Good luck

does anyone know the specs on the 05 Accord SE speakers? I think the rears are 6x9 but i don't know what to buy for either. Should I get 5-1/4' component speakers? if so, where do they install those 2 seperate tiny tweeters it looks like it comes with. I was looking at the Alpine Type-S six by nines and door speakers, but was wondering what kind and size i need to buy. anyone done it? I'm looking for desperate help...

I would highly recommend stopping by Crutchfield.com and entering your vehicle info... they will find the right size you need. The rears are most likely 6" on a 6x9 plate, like most Hondas.
