The starter definately went out on my 2004 accord. Removed the air intake and finally got down to the starter. Went to Autozone and bought new (remanufactured) starter. Replaced the starter, put all back together. Now it cranks and starts and runs. Problem .... the cranking sounds all different. sounds very airy and like the new starter is struggling to "catch" i've read a couple posts about shims and not lining up the starter correctly can cause weird noises ... Help anyone?
