'S' Light Blinked, Now It's Gone Solid...
Hi,
I've been reading some threads re Accords that get a blinking 'S' light.
We have a '92 (that's the body panel plate, tho VIN plate says 6/94) Accord Aerodeck here in Australia that's a U.S.-built model. A couple of months ago the 'S' light started to blink at times and was correspondingly sluggish, just like other people seem to experience. In the last week however the 'S' light has gone bright & solid and the sluggishness is constant. We have to drive it like a manual until we can get it to the shop!
I've had a quick look under the glove compartment to where people say the panel can be taken off to find the service connector etc, though I can't seem to identify it. Can someone give me a bit more guidance please? I know that once I uncover it I can short the connector and check the 'S' code blinks to find the code number.
Thanks in advance if you can help!

A common symptom of a bad TCU is that the trans will shift okay one time AFTER the TCU is reset.
Warm up the engine...shut off the car .......get out and unhook the battery for 30 seconds...reconnect the battery...go for a test drive.
The next time you come to a stop and start off the 'S' light comes back again.
If that is what happens I would condemn the TCU.
