shifting at high rpm's
94 honda. if you are driving the car normal it shifts fine but if you put it to the floor when the rpm's get's around 5500 it wont shift into next gear let off gas a little it shifts it does this in all gears if you push it to floor. (tac. out at 6200.) it also drops to 5000 an makes a sound like a studder box(rev.lim.) or like an ole v8 with a wore out cam popping back through the carb. changed trans fluid, cdi box, checked distributor. any ideas...thanks

RE: shifting at high rpm's
check the transmission throttle cable. Its the cable that goes from the throttle body to the transmission, it comes out the passenger side of the TB, and if my memory serves me correctly, it should be the only cable that comes out on the passenger side of the TB.

RE: shifting at high rpm's
havent checked the cable yet but also should have said it does the same thing when it is in park. it seems that the car is not getting the rpms up high enough..it stops at 5500 then backs down to 5000 with the pedal to the floor...the car runs good and idles good just wont shift right when you have it to the floor..
