Should I change the timing belt???
#11
I've changed belts on several Accords, Acura's and one Subaru. In no case was the belt showing obvious signs of wear.
Was I disappointed? No, the point of scheduled replacement is to prevent the belt ever failing w/ a very low probability of premature belt failure. To achieve this the useful belt life must be very conservatively set.
Would you have been happier if the belt exhibited clear signs of distress and was about to break?
good luck
