From the looks of it, the p1259 code could be telling you that this is your idling problem, if all bolts arent tight or the wiring is messed up.
Honda Accord VTEC Solenoid Gaskets Replacement - YouTube this is a great video on how to replace the gasket on the Vtec solenoid gasket, its for the fifth generation Accord, but the work was easier on my seventh generation Accord because my solenoid was on the back of my engine without stuff being in the way. I would check everything you can about this part- grounds, wires, pressure switch, solenoid, gasket, oil leaks? anything revolving around this and it may fix your problem!
Another detail on this problem is from this website.https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/for...code-52497/--- please let me know how the problem worked out for you after you fix it! I am very curious.
By the way, changing the gasket on my Vtec solenoid took roughly 45 minutes because it was difficult to reach and I was gentle not to break the bolts! It cost me less than $20 and the fix cleared my low oil pressure code. Just do the research before you dive in,
Good Luck!
Awesome thanks for the video definitely going to check that out. Well since I've owned the car I've done regular oil changes only 1 time i went over and was about 1000 miles over doing the oil change. One time I used the wrong weight of oil I read the label spot but not the actual bottle and after the oil changed realized what i had did. i think my motor is 5w 30 and i used i think 10w 30 id have to double check that. I wasnt sure if it was throwing the code bc of that or if it really is something else. I'm hoping to dive into working on it this weekend if my check actually gets deposited (work BS) I'll definitely update when i check out some things.

with all that work that you did, make sure your ground wires are good and snug and the bolt on area's are free of any debris. Similar situation I just went through cost me $700.00 to figure out the bolt on the throttle body was loose and grounding the car out after a minute or two of running until one day it wouldn't crank at all. Check all your work!

Yea, I hope everything works out for you! Personally, I am not sure if that different weight would through the p1259 code on the Vtec, I am assuming it wouldn't, but its a Honda and they are finicky at times. Not to mention, Honda is all about being purists, so it could be an issue. Would be a good place to start though. When changing the Vtec solenoid gasket all the oil drains down into the sump, so you don't have to change the oil, but being that its not the correct weight I would change it anyway just to make sure you don't mess with the cede of the new gasket. Its an easy job, if your car has plenty of miles on it- around 200,000, I would definitely change it out. Good luck and don't forget to post the result of the problem. I am really curious how it turns out!

I thought that was the problem so I went and triple checked everything and I found the main ground from the battery to the block was barely visible, covered in old hardened up oil and dirt. It was nasty, I cleaned and cut the cable to give it a clean ground, she cranks with a whole lot more power and idles nice, but still cuts off after about 12 seconds. I had her towed to the Honda specialist in hialeah, fl. They said it may be my distributor, it had a crack on the bottom that I just couldn't see from any angle without taking it out completely. They said it should be up and running by 10 am tomorrow morning so lets see! I will post my results for reference.

Well, good luck with that! I hate that it had to go to the dealer, but at least she'll be running soon. That's exactly what the dealer is for in my opinion, for crap I couldn't do in the time frame I operate in. LOL.

It's been awhile, but that's simply because I just had my baby girl mid june. I'm looking into attempting to fix my car while im out on maternity leave. I was looking and I've seen at least 2 grounds which are seriously dirty/corroded could this prevent my car from working?

If they are dirty - clean them. Yes, poor grounds can cause all kinds of strange issues.
