Speed not right
HI,
HAVE A 98 ACCORD 4-DR 4CYL AUTO. THE CAR HAS HAD A NEW TRANSMISSION RECENTLY (DIFFERENT OWNER). THE CAR SEEMS TO BE GOING SLOWER THAN THE SPEEDOMETER READS. GOING 65 AND TRAFFIC IS PASSING BY. MAYBE 5-10 MILES AN HOUR OFF. TIRES ARE CORRECT SIZE FOR CAR WITH GOOD TREAD. COULD THERE BE A WRONG GEAR AT END OF SPEEDOMETER CABLE???? CAN SOME ONE TELL ME WHAT TO LOOK FOR?????? THX KEN

RE: Speed not right
VSS may be faulty. Have someone pace you in another car and tell you what your speed is.
Car does not have a speedo cable ever since about 1990 the accords have electronic transmissions and use a VSS to run the speedo and tell the trans when to shift
