Default Speedo Quit Working

My speedometer on my 1990 Accord just quit working, right out of the blue, one minute fine, the next not. Anyone have an idea where to start looking? Are they fused somewhere? Thanks for the help

could be a fuse, but unlikely if the tach still works. more than likely a vehicle speed sensor.

Check the fuses.

If your cruise control still works when the speedometer is not working, then the speedometer is the problem. If the vehicle speed sensor stops working, the check engine light should come on and the cruise will not work.

The tach gets it signal from the ignition control module, so a working tach does not indicate the problem.
