Speedometer not working, already replaced vss once, whats wrong?

Hi, My Honda accord v6 2000 speedometer is always 5 miles faster. Is there any suggestion on solution? Thanks, Cheng

Assuming you're comparing your indicated speed to a GPS, the odds are you have the wrong size tires on your car are pretty high.

Yup, my 99 is like that. It's off by 3mph (slow). But then I do have slightly larger tires on it, so I expect it to be off.

Hi, My tires were correct. Originally, me speedometer was not working. The mechanic changed the part behind and repaired it. But then it was 5 miles ahead. The mechanic said he did not know how to do it from there. Thanks
