Here is something that is simple to try when the car is having the starting problem.

Turn the key to the II position and allow all of the clicks to happen, but do not start the car. Try to listen for the fuel pump to whirl for a few seconds. Turn the key off. Repeat turning the key to II a couple of times. This should allow the fuel pressure to build up in the rail. If the car starts proplerly, then you can pressure test the fuel system.

Are your maintenance items on the car been kept up? Like the spark plugs, plug wires, air filter, etc... You might want to stop by Autozone and have them test the battery/alternator to make sure they are working properly.

this is a random shot in the dark so you can try it if you like but I'm just guessing wildely..... There have been a number of issues that can be caused by the FITV and coolant levels, check your coolant and make sure it's full, then bleed the system to make certain there is no air in it.

What kind of spark plugs are you using?

I would put NGKs in there, since they are OEM. Most techs on here suggest using them over AC Delco plugs.
