Stock struts & shocks.. Is it time to replace??
As the title says, I am wondering if it's time to replace my whole suspension setup all around?? My 2000 accord is still running on the same set of struts and shocks that it came with brand new. So that's 216,500 miles approximately and counting on them of brooklyn, manhattan, and some of the worst roads around.. for years now clunking has been around but these days the bumps just make the car so loud, clunking all around, all sorts of noises everywhere.. I guess I answered my own question but the real question is what happens if I keep pushing these babies to 300000?? Being as I already need to replace the catalytic converter, I doubt I'll have enough money for the struts in the foreseeable future..
so any cheap solutions or should I just keep abusing these things to death?? Oh and whats the worst that can happen?? Don't start with the you can die due to awful braking distance junk, I've survived just fine thus far..

The short answer is diagnose the problem with the suspension noise.
For example, a loose ball joint can break causing the tire/knuckle to fall off.
Try to located the source of the noise, then determine how you want to repair it.
There is a good ericthecarguy video on suspension noises. Search for v=scFbb43fwqk on YouTube. Let us know what you find.
