Stock Wheels and homemade Intake

Stock Wheels and homemade Intake
I have two questions.
#1.) My stock wheels on my 2000 Accord EX has the clear coat or whatever peeling off of them. Is there something I can use to restore them or just paint over them. Any mod at all will help. The color of the car is Gold btw.
#2.) I can't spend very much money but I want to make my own air intake. Where can I get the piping for this? What type of piping is it and the size I would need.
Anything else I'm missing please add. Thanks!

RE: Stock Wheels and homemade Intake
Save yourself the hassle of making an intake go on ebay and find a CAI and you will be happy with it its much better then making one.... also why dont u just sand the clear coat off all the rims and then just repaint them or have someone who knows what there doing do t for u..... if u sand them yourself just becareful its not difficult

RE: Stock Wheels and homemade Intake
ok..heres the deal.
when i bought my nonner, i couldnt find ANYTHING for it. im not one to drive a stock vehicle, so i made my own intake, and i had exhaust custom bent. the intake may take some time, as mind did because i had alot of odd angles to work out.
to make an intake, go to a hardware store and buy high heat PVC. the regular stuff gets soft due to engine heat and can actually suck shut. you may also want to wrap the intake in some heat tape to try to keep it as cool as possible. mine worked fine, until i found a great deal on a full length CAI on ebay.
as for the wheels, my old track car has aluminum stock wheels, and i removed my clearcoat with some brillo pads, and alot of elbow grease...or, take them to a body shop and have them sanded and recleared.
