Default Stone chips

I have a 2011 Honda Accord EX with 7500 miles and I already have several chips in the paint from stones being thrown from other cars and trucks. One chip flew off a truck today and put a chip in the roof. The car has metallic paint and I'm not sure if metal is exposed. Is this covered under warranty? Does anyone else have this sever problem? What can I do to prevent this from happening?

By the time it gets 30,000 miles it's going to look like it was in the battlefield.

Stay farther away from other cars. If that's not possible, you can either buy a nose mask from Honda, or one of those clear film applications (I think 3M makes one). I can tell you from experience, you will get tired of installing, and removing, and washing the Honda nose mask. I would look into the clear flim type protection.

Here's a link I found, this stuff is not cheap.

I stay as far away as possible and i do not follow in back of trucks or tractor trailers. Today a rock was thrown from a truck that was in the opposite lane. There is already damage to the vehicle so i'm not going to invest in a clear film.

Thanks for your help.

Well there are a couple ways too fix it the most likely one is to get touch up paint and paint the chip then let it dry for a day and polish it out so it's smooth. If you want to prevent this you may consider a product called CarPro Cquartz. It's a different type of coating for your cars paint which is like a second clear coat. The only caution with this is you may want to have a professional detailer do this for you because any swirls in your paint will be in there until the coating wears off (about a year I think) so have them polish out your car first.
