After the install, did you let the PCM "learn idle"? There is a procedure for this, when the PCM is disconnected (removed the battery cables to do the intake), it usually will need to learn/re-learn idle....especially since the cleaning prob changed what it was "use to".

Worth a try before "going back in".

yes i had the negitive cable unhooked the whole time i did the repair from start to finish. you think I may need to remove the cable again just to see if that helps? I sprayed carb cleaner all around the throttle body today while it was running and it made no difference in the way the car ran. it didn't effect it at all.

i washed the engine after i cleaned the intake also and covered the alt up with a plastic bag like suggested. i did hose everything down real good but didn't really soak anything on top of the engine but did clean the heck out of it for an hour or more. could there be water in one or more of the sparkplug holes possibly causing this ? it only last a minute or less and if you try to drive while this is happening the car won't take the gas when the pedal is pressed,it'll bogg down and after this spell clears it's like nothing ever happened.

Again, this is kind of out there but it cost nothing but a little bit of time.

You should skip everything but the last part in the first post. Be sure all loads are turned off (radio, blower, ac, ect....)
