Default Strange rubbing noise

I have a 2006 accord sedan 4cyl. with 73k miles. I hear a quick rubbing noise coming from the front of the car while rolling forward or backwards at very slow speeds. I hear nothing at high speeds. For example, when I first back my car out of the garage at less than 2 miles per hour I hear this quick rubbing noise that I think is coming from the passanger front of the car. Cannot reproduce this sound all the time. I have looked under the car observe nothing unusual. Other than this stange rubbing noise car drives and sounds perfect. Sometimes I hear this unusual rubbing noise while pulling forward after car has been parked. This noise is quick, but noticeable. All responses appreciated.

Have you had any work done on the car recently?

Local Honda dealership fixed a roaring wheel bearing on driver side for 300 dollars. But this rubbing noise has been there since i bought the car two weeks ago. Senior Honda tech test drove the car and hears nothing. Hard to re-produce. A service advisor thinks it is the ABS pump making noise, but I disagree. All responses appreciated.

Brakes? They can make quiet rubbing sounds at slow speeds, that's normal.

I've owned cars for many years and have never heared this sound on a car rolling slowly. Very strange.

My 2005 accord had a rub noise once. It was a metal shield inside the front passenger rotor. My friend grabbed it and bent it away from the rotor a bit. Something to check maybe.

Default Strange Pumping Noise

The strange pumping (rubbing noise) is coming from the ABS device under the hood on the passenger side. It pumps only once when I first start the car and move forward or backward in or out of gear. It makes this rubbing (pumping sound) EVERY time I start the car and move forward or backward. Sound only lasts for 1 second. No ABS light on dash. Car runs and brakes normal. Should I be concerned? Anbody else seen this situation before?

Default Buzzing noise resolved!

The buzzing noise is coming from the ABS running a self test according to a Honda shop foreman who test drove my car today. It runs this self test after every ignition startup driving slowly forward or backward for 1 second and does not run the test again until you start the car again. Thanks to all who responded.

I disabled my ABS. I hate it in the winter time you can never stop.
