Stripped threads on head for valve cover
Hey all, new to this forum. Basically I was replacing the valve cover gasket on my 1996 Honda accord (2.2L 4cyl vtech)because it was leaking, and as I was putting the bolts back into the block one of them suddenly went righty loosy. Now this wouldn’t have been that big of a deal cause I could have just slapped a heli-coil into it and been in my mary way, however it just so happened to be my luck that it was already heli-coiled. Would I be able the just put two heli-coils together so that after I re-drill and tap it is back to the original size or is there a better option?
TLDR; head was already heli-coiled, and the block got stripped when re-installing the valve cover… not sure what to do

I probably wouldn't put two helicoils together to fix this kind of problem. I'd probably remove the valve cover and insert the bolt into the cylinder head to see if the entire helicoil is spinning or if the inside threads are messed up to determine an appropriate plan.

The heli-coil bunched up on the bolt and stripped the head out
