I recently cleaned the egr ports about a 2 weeks ago, and this moring wen warming up the car i could smell gas Not in the cabin but in the fuel injector/rail area, im getting good gas milage. i also had and injector kinda sideways not straight like the others.

 

Try to pinpoint the gas leak. When the engine is cold, try to turn the key to the II position and allow the main fuel relay to do its clicks. This will pressurize the system. Do this several times and see if you can see fuel seeping out. If the engine is warm, the gas will evaporate before you can spot it.

I had a slight tear in one of the o-rings for the injectors that caused my engine to smell strongly of gas. Lubricate the o-rings lightly with engine oil and carefully install the fuel rail.

Get a whole new set of O-rings for the injectors. 8 of em, one on each end. They get hardened with age so they always leak when you take them out & put them back in...

The O-ring at the fuel-rail end will leak fuel. The O-ring at the manifold end will be a vacuum leak.
