Default Stuttering at 4000

I have a 98 Accord EX 4 cylinder and after it has ran a while when the tach hits around 3800 to 4000 it is like the engine has hit the rev limiter. When I let off of the gas everything goes back to normal. I have replaced the VTEC modulator, plugs, plug wires, distributor, and rotor button and it is still doing this. Any suggestions? Also after you turn the engine off and start it again it does not do this until after it has ran for a while.

Today after replacing the plugs, wires, and distributor got on the interstate went three exits and everything was fine. Turn around to come back and it started this and when I shut it off and started again it did not do this.

It could be a number of reasons actually, like your valve timing could be off. I'd suggest you take it to a mechanic and get it tested. It's most likely the problem with timing.

you replaced the modulator? or the solenoid? could be the solenoid. also if your low *** on oil your vtec wont engage.
