I don't think you should replace any parts yet. Get the codes scanned to be sure there isn't a code for the coolant temperature sensor. If you can read live data from the PCM, then look to see what the PCM is reading. If the PCM is reading the initial temperature as the outside temperature and moves up to operating temp, then your problem is somewhere between the PCM and the cluster.

Your cooling fans kicking on periodically hints that the coolant temperature sensor is sending the right temperature to the engine computer.

I get 5v at pin 1 and 2nd pin has ground continuity. So, wire circuit is ok? Hmm, I blame the PCm. Abs is on. Srs is on. Temp gauge goes to warm when motor is cold.

We have some more information. The ABS and SRS lights are on, so have you checked for codes?

My code reader won't read abs and Srs codes. Sensor has 1850 ohm reading at 75f.

Poorman mentioned this in your other post. There is a way to jump the obd2 connector to get the car to blink the codes on the CEL, D4, ABS, and SRS light like the OBD1 accords.

Honda numbered the pins differently in the shop manual vs the SAE numbering, so people can get confused using pin numbers and jump the wrong pins. Jump the brown wire to the black wire on the OBD2 connector. Look at the wire colors behind the connector and be 100% sure then check again you are jumping the correct wires. Jumping the wrong wires can send 12V directly to the PCM and damage it.

I suggested that you don't replace parts that aren't giving you a code. Aftermarket parts can cause problems due to poor quality.

Reinstall the original ect sensor, clear the codes, then see if the P0118 returns.

What happens if you unplug the connection to the temperature sensor? Does the needle move?

If not, then the problem is not the sensor...

put original sensor back in. unplugged, the temp gauge goes right to its usual spot. about a bit below 1/2 sweep. with sensor unplugged, what should gauge do? read cold or hot?
