Throttle Response Comes and goes
I thought I had this issue fixed with the grounding kit but its back,
My throttle response varies. I'm wondering if its temp related.
In the cold winter air the car does great. At about 20 degrees or less I get that beautiful acceleration and throttle response that I should have gotten with all these mods. As things warm up it starts to go away and I'm left with less performance and less throttle. I have an open header with heat wrap on it, should I try putting more on to keep the hood temperature lower? Is there a coolant or thermostat issue?
I know electrical circuits do better in cold conditions, could the grounding cables be heating up and thus producing more thermal resistance in the circuit?

Check intake air temp and coolant temp sensors that input to the ECM. A badly calibrated sensor could cause your symptoms.
Exhaust leaks near o2 sensor could cause false bias to the O2 sensor and cause problems.
Ground problems arise w/ rusty or forgotten grounds, not size of ground wires.
good luck

Ok. Ill monitor the intake temps.
I already know the car runs at about 205 degrees. I had asked about that as a concern but people said it wasnt a big thing.
How would the exhaust leaks show up when the exhaust heats up? Metal expands and would seal cracks right?
The biggest correlation is temperature.
I thought it was all fixed with the grounding kit, and sometimes I do have the performance I expect, but then it kinda loses it. After a highway trip, immediately when I get off the performance is very good, does that indicate anything?

You haven't responded to suggestions to check air temp sensor, coolant sensor, or exhaust leaks.
Since car has obd2, a scan of the inputs above would indicate whether they are seriously in error.
What mods have been made to this system?
good luck

Anyone looking at this thread later on. I'm gonna go with TPS sensor for now and do a TPS calibration.
