Default Throttle sticking?

My throttle is sticking when i put the pedal to the floor and i have to put it in neutral and rev it to get it to stop or turn off the car. Any advice would be appreciated.

if it was a carbed 87 it woud make a huge difference, plus if there was a recall for certain years then it makes a difference too.... lots of reasons really.... but I'm not here for that (for future referance if you just put it in your signature it makes life a lot easier)....

Can you feel the pedal stick? is it like the throttle cable is overly corroded or does the pedal return normally? if it doesn't return it could also be a problem with the return spring, does it only do it in certain gears? can you get the problem to re-occur while it's in neutral? If you can then go under the hood and mess with the throttle there while it's running and see if it sticks at all, if not it may just be that you have a frayed throttle cable that is catching

Well Einstien, not all Accords are exactly the same,[79-07??] and to look up info on any good program such as Honda Interactive Networkthe YEAR is required.

There is a service bulletin for your year with a sticky throttle.

f23, d15, b18. Most dealer techs dont have a clue what your taking about. Engine codes dont have much use in a dealer shop. Going by year and model is alot easier for us. A vin number is even better for information on a car.
