Default Thumping when braking passenger rear..

03 Honda Accord EX L ... changed brake shoes, turned rotors last year but intermittently when braking I have a thump thump thump when applying the brakes at low speeds BUT when i slightly engage the parking brake it goes away. If I leave the parking brake slightly engaged it will thump on the rear passenger side anytime, regardless of whether the brakes are being pressed or not.

I have taken it to the Honda mechanic who did the job and he said he needed to turn the rotors... I don't think that is it due to the previously stated symptoms.

Turning that rotor with close to 100k will probably mean buying new rotors.. So before I do that I figured I would ask here since I've looked here many times for answers.

Thanks

I'm confused with your post. Are your rear brakes a shoe/drum setup, or a caliper/rotor setup?

Ok a few things to think about. Does this only seem to happen when you first start to drive.

I'd pull the wheels and inpsect everything-pads, hardware, mounting bolts, ect.
