Timing Belt

Timing Belt
I'm about to hit the big 100K on an 02 v6 and I'm wondering how long I can expect my timing belt to last. Is the J30 a non-detonating engine or would I be risking a motor swap by putting it off?
Lastly, anyone know where I can find a good DIY? I've changed a couple timing belts before, but its nice to have that little bit of confidence.

You're pushing the time interval on the belt... 105k/7yrs. I bet you could push it some... my belt was first changed at 133k miles, but around 7 years. Changed one at 90k/10yrs a few months ago, belt looked almost new. Changed one at 140k/10 yrs a few months ago too and the belt was extremely cracked and very close to breaking.
Pull the upper timing cover and take a peak at the belt. The J-series V6 engine are not that difficult, but you might want to invest in renting a cam locker since the cams love to slam 90º. Very painful when you have a wrench on the cam too
