Default RE: Tore all the boots for ball joints and tie rod; facing replacement problems

Somethings I wanted to share:-

1) Removing the ABS Speed Sensor from the knuckle:
When the speed sensor is badly stuck to the knuckle, there is an easy method to remove it (rather than spending all those frustrating hours, flooding it up your PB Blaster and prying and cussing on it, seemingly for ever).
Disconnect the orange connector under the hood and pull it out from the other end. Open the sensor mounting bolts, and leave the wire and connector as it is, and proceed as usual. When you finally get
your knuckle off you have the sensor and the rest of it still dangling from the knuckle. Now you have much better access to the sensor; use your PB Blaster and simply tap it out from the other end. You
got to protect the tip of the sensor though, so instead of tapping on it directly, cover around the tip with a socket. Lightly tap on the socket with a mallet or hammer and the thing will come right off. (I would have saved the $45 ordering a new sensor, but then sometimes you learn the hard way).

2) Beware of pickle forks and lookalikes while separating joints:
If you do use them, I would suggest ordering replacement boots ahead of time, just in case. From my experience and apparently others, you are likely to destroy those boots trying to separate the ball joints. I would much rather use an alternate methods to separate ball joints.

3) Sticky deal for tree-shade mechanic:
I didn't quite realize that quite inconspicuous in the grove of green trees, where I ended up parking my car for much longer than anticipated, stood a huge pine tree. And now I have those sticky pine sap all around over the hood, merrily gathering dust and debris all along! I can't get those damn things out. I tried soapy water, but boy o' boy are they sticky or what? Anybody has any greatideasindealing with tree sap on the car paint?
