Tranny problem when cold.

Well, Honda automatic transmissions don't have a pan.

Well. 1 year later and I've just been dealing with it. Shortly after making my original post, the weather started to get warmer and I sort of forgot about it since it stopped.

I recently had someone suggest using Sea Foam for transmissions then changing the fluid. So I'm going to pick some up, run it for a while, then change the fluid and see what happens.

I believe the manual for my car says it takes DEXRON II, but good luck finding that.

It's been nearly 2 months, and the transmission has been working well with the drain 3qts, add 3qts method. I have done this 2x with the last being nearly 2 months ago. On occasion, there is a hint of slippage, but for the most part problem solved. It's amazing what the correct fluid will do for your honda.
