LOL ..... a good friend of mine (who's appeared in some of my stories) has a CBR 1000 Repsol. That thing is crazy!!!! I'd be afraid to ride that thing!

My 600 is a beast (to me), the 1000 is an absolute monster. It is just nasty beyond words. 400 pounds-ish dry and 150hp at the wheel.

Repsol = too much for me!!! He's nuts! He's had that thing at 185 and climbing! He's lucky that he's not a puddle yet! I have another friend that had to lie down his Ninja at 120 to avoid getting run over by the guy he was racing. Luckilly, he only lost about 35% of his skin and got some road rash, nothing permanent ..... and he only had his helmet, a starter jacket and windbreakers! I'll copy and paste his story to my storytime thread when I have a chance.

if his speedo was at 185 and he didn't put a speedohealer or recalibrate it somehow he was probably only at 165-175ish. they are notoriously off, sometimes more than 10%, especially at higher gears/speeds/revs. ridiculous speed and racing is for the track, not the street.

is the brake light sensor a universal part or do i need to get a specific Honda/OEM part? I've not checked it yet, but i'm assuming that is probably what it is. I will check before I buy one.

so my brake lights flash when I hit the lock button on my keyless, this means that it has to be the brake light sensor switch?

you need to disconnect the brake switch connector and jump the 2 wires together ( white/yellow and white/black..

if brake lites work and you can get the car out of park, you got a bad brake switch,, If so get one from Honda and replace it

Is there a previous post anyone knows about that walks me through this? A picture or anything? That would be greatly appreciated. I would say I am 80% confident in my ability to do this correctly, but I would like just a bit more.

all you got to do is top get under the dash,,,,,at the brake pedal ( top side ) there is a switch and a connector, unplug the connector, get a paper clip and jump together the 2 wires i told you on the above reply ,,
try it and let us know

It is very ,very easy to do .
