Default Transmission noise

2015 Honda Accord ex-L v6 coupe 14,000 miles

I just noticed the the other day, when I shift into drive, after a few feet of taking off, the transmission sometimes makes one click. It doesnt happen all the time and it is sometimes louder than others. The transmission operates fine other than the initial click upon taking off out of park. There is never any other noises from the transmission and the transmission operates normal. The click only happens after the initial take off after shifting it out of park.

After some research, I found other posts of people hearing the same noise. The other posts says the noise is the famous Honda automatic transmission click, but nowhere can I find the cause or the reason for the noise.

Any ideas

How do you know it is 100% the tranny making the noise. If there are no issues driving it's likely the sound isn't likely coming from the tranny.

Because the noise happens when I am already moving forward. A brake or caliper noise whould happen when the car is first starting off or changing direction. The noise happens a few feet, maybe 5 or 10 feet after motion is started. And as I mentioned. It only happens once and not all the time

It make be the brake pads clicking on the caliper frame. If so in most cases this is a good thing because it means the pads are free to slide in the frames and are not seized.
