Troubleshooting process for EVAP leak (P4157) on 2000 V6
Hello everybody, I'm trying to figure out the best troubleshooting process for trying to fix the check engine light P1457 code control unit 0E on my 2000 accord v6. I've already tried replacing the gas cap and clearing the code but it reappeared again around 30 miles later. I just want to know what you guys recommend I look into next. Thank you very much!

The P1457 is a leak somewhere in your evap system. Could be the gas cap any of the hoses, the different valve in the system, etc.
What kind of code reader are you using on your car? Can you see any live data on it, or control any components on it?
A smoke machine can also detect leaks. Most DIYers don't have them.

Look at all live data for the evap system available. Fuel tank pressure sensor is one item to check. You'll have to see if anything looks abnormal. Southmainauto on youtube has some good videos on scanners and evap leaks that can help provide you some direction.
