u0155 lost comm w/ instr panel cluster conMod--but no actual symptoms?
Hey all, first post, hoping ya'll can help me with my buddies 2011 accord (EX). Had it in to swap out a CV, nothing electrical.
I'm getting a u0155 code, which seems to be related to all the dash gauges & lights, right? All the diagnosis stuff I have read says I should be seeing some malfunction on my dash: lights, gauges, something..but it all looks fine to me. The car is driving fine & has no other codes and this code, despite being permanent, doesn't even throw the check engine light on. I've tried clearing the code, both by pulling the battery & through my OBD2 reader...it comes back, seemingly instantly & immediately as a permanent DTC --I found that odd, in my experience they usually flag a pending code first.
I am pretty good with mechanics & decent at electronics, but I've never taken the time to learn much about car electronics, so I am a bit lost. looking for any suggestions on how to proceed and some idea of how risky it is to drive in this condition?
Thanks!
ps: mods: I think I got this in the right place, but I am not too familar with this forum. If this should be somewhere else, feel free to move it...you wont hurt my feelings
