no problem thats what this site is for I just found it last week and yeah this sight rocks. I checked my valve clearances and 1 or 2 seem a little loose but all have about the same amount of travel eg exhaust = exxhaust; intake=intake;vtec=vtec. so hopefully I am safe will know for sure as soon as I get my pully in do you know where they sell the keys at

Tas auto has them, but I am sure that a dealership can get them for you too.

The key is probably $5 at a dealer. If you order it you probablywon't save enough to be worth the shipping.

But simply for turning the crankshaft, you could almost use anything. Find a wooden dowel to stick in there. Get the pistons all down to mid-stroke so you can turn the camshaft.Once you check the valve clearances you might be saving up for a big project.

ok i had the car all timed up, (thanks for all the info on it helped a lot) and put everything back together to find out that its broken valves... it was idoling like it was a harley lol.. so now i ned to get a whole new head job on it.. so we're going all out.. its in my cousins Husband Garage.. like i said he been a mechanic for bout 20 years.. we took everything out... cleaned it all with like 15 cans of brake cleaner replacing all hoses, and ofcourse i went with the new gasket kit.. so this car should be brand new once its done...

Cost..
U haul Tow Dolly ( towed from Ft Lauderdale To Ft Myers) $120
Complete Head Job ( close friend hook up price) $200
Gasket Kit $150
Cleaners Oil, filter Fluids ETC $110
and Labor $200

Total Damage = $780

which is not bad at all Considering People in my area wanted $700 - $900
i rather a a close family member and friend work on it than some Joe work on it
and he's doing extra little things that need some fixing adjusting for free just cuz he enjoys it

So i get my car back this weekend.. i been through hell with it lol 1 whole month carless.. dont kno how i did it..

amazing how people can always manage to fight through problems they thought they can never do..

thanks for all the help fellas... will update how the car runs once i get it back this weekend
