Urgent Opinion Required

If the arror pointer on the drive belt tensioner is outside the short bar range limit (short and long bars w/ ideal position midway between two marks), then belt is likely worn and should be replaced.
However a slipping belt will usually cause some noise; squeaks or rattles.
good luck

i need an opinion on this K series engines please
brought the car to an honda specialist mechanic and he said never ever touch the valves for adjustment, called some dealers and they are eager to do the job (dont trust the dealers, they could do anything to rip off)
do the K series engines requires valve adjustments (tappets)? my engine is 151K and dont know the history....Please throw some light

Maintenance schedule from shop manual indicates to inspect valve clearances (pretty much same as adjust, since you adjust them if out of spec) at 110K miles.
They don't change very fast. I have a 94 EX w/ 250K miles that has been adjusted once. I found only one valve barely out of spec.
If valve noise is objectionable when cold engine is started, you may need an adjustment.
good luck
