Vibration at 2000-2200 RPM
I just bought a '97 SE 4cyl. auto and am trying to work a couple of bugs out of it. It has 145K on it. There is an annoying vibration around 2K that happens driving the car or just sitting there. I had the exhaust shop check it out and anything they did didn't cure it. They suggested the motor mounts. Is this possible? Can I check them and replace if needed? Thanks.

RE: Vibration at 2000-2200 RPM
Input the year and model in your sig so members will not have to ask,, i noticed you got another post open asking about a lug nut repair
As for the vibration .if the motor mount (s ) are bad you would notice it mostly at idle especially since it is AT tranny .. but to chk them take a visual look at the frt one. the rear it is easier to put a floor jack under the engine or tranny and raise it up a bit, look at the mount ,,if it is split open or badly cracked , it needs replacing ,,,,,,,,,
