Default Vibration at idle in gear

Hi,
I have a noticeable vibration when in reverse, and somewhat in forward, at idle and moving on my '92 DX Accord. I recently replaced the driver's side drive shaft, broken seal, and the front motor mount. The mount rubber had broken. The vibration is still there, but not as severe. What can be the cause of this vibration, vacuum, timing, plugs, plug wires,...?

The car has 105,000 miles, leaks some oil, my next project along with timing belt.

Just looking for your experiences in this area.

Thanks for any words of wisdom you can offer,
Ron

Check the other engine mounts? Rear one?
Maybe the alignment of the new front mount?

What RPM does it idle at IN GEAR?

Default RE: Vibration at idle in gear

When I found the bad front mount I took a quick look at the other mounts. From a visual inspection they looked fine, no cracked rubber or anything obvious. I could jack the engine up and remove each motor mount for inspection. The rear one looks a little tough to get to.

What is the procedure for aligning the front motor mount?

The idle is at 1,000 RPM. The shuttering actually starts when you begin moving, not accelerating. The shuttering is worse when the A/C is on.

Thanks again,
Ron

I just mean the mounts have some room for movement & you can shake it around to settle things before tightening it down.

Sometimes a low idle can shake things. 1000 is not low.

I dont know if the vacuum-operated rear mount was used as early as 92? If so maybe that isnt working?
