Those links go to Napa, whichare listings for the above mentioned brakes, then go on to 138mm,and 144mm. brakes.I rode in the car today and can definately feel shimmy-shake-vibration from left front when useing brakes and slowing from 50 to around 25-30 mph.I pulled the wheel to inspect.Rotor seems not perfectly flat (I used a mech.'s straight edge). She has opted to do the front brakes-rotors and pads on both sides,as pads look near needing replacement. However,I was prying around and found alot of endplay where the lower control arm attaches to the main frame.I am aware there is a bushing there, and it does'nt seem "wollered" out,but has end play in it's hanger(?) of about 1/4-3/8's inch.Seems to me it should'nt have any(?).

Nope, shouldn't have any play... sounds like it's worn out.

Don't forget when you replace her rotors and pads to clean off the slide pins and lube 'em up real good. That can also cause premature/uneven break wear.

The links only work for you because of the cookie the site left in your computer. Clear the cookies and try them.

I'm seeing where I can buy new bushings for the lower control arm(s),that are about 1/3 the cost of an arm.I have a 20 ton press. Are there any "tricks" to pressing the old one(s) out and in with new one(s)?Appears very similar to leafspring bushings.

Don't worry about it...

As for the press, I think 20 tons should be enough. I've never pressed in bushings myself... so I can't help much.

20 tons is good. burning them is more fun though to get them out. I think the tightest 1 on my car took about 15 tons of pressure.

So after you burn out the rubber, how did you get the outer steel ring out?

Oh,OK..........I remember needing shackle bushings in my Jeep, and someone suggested burning them (very messy-I CAN do that),but I elected to get new shackles because they were'nt much more and had new bushings.Plus the fact that indeed, you're only burning the rubber/still have to press out the outer sleeve.......

BTW.........is there an illustration someone could provide,or steer me to that identifies the various suspension components in the Accord (1992-similar)?
