I hate it when people try to rip you off. This guy just flat out said that rotors are 12k or 12 months. I will call corporate and complain.

Sadly car "stealerships" are notorious for it. Also, $280 for resurfacing rotors is downright robbery

Update: Went to the dealer on saturday. Told them about the vibration. They did the free inspection; found the rotors were warped and fixed them. Problem resolved. All taken care under warranty. I did not have to do anything.

Was this the same dealership where the service manager kept on telling you that rotors were not covered?? they were only 12-12 warranty ???

If so why did he change his mind ??

And if this is a different dealership , you should report him to Honda of America for trying to RIP OFF people ..

But above all,, I am glad thet your issue was taking care of, free of charge ,as it should have been from the start ..

actually, brakes are considered a maintanence item, like air filters, spark plugs and fluids. rotors have a 12/12 warranty, after that it's on the client. the $280 is for 2.0 labor and the pads(about $75 or so). we are required by honda to resurface the rotors on the car to ensure 0 runout.

if a rotor is warped from teh factory the client should feel it on the first high speed braking application. not 20k down the line. rotors warp from being overheated(as i'm sure everyone knows). look at infiniti.(we have 4 dealers in our building). they routinely see customer pay pads and rotors at 3000 miles on their G coupes. it's all how you drive.

They resurfaced it. It was the same dealership. When I went in; I was greeted by a different service advisor.
