Default Warranty Question

I just bought a Honda 07 4 Ex on August 20th. The 2nd week that i brought it home, i installed a HID kit on it and then changed the fog light bulbs to super yellow. Everything was fine until 2 weeks later, the fog lights doesnt work anymore, i took out the bulbs and put in the stock ones and it still doesnt work. So im planning to bring it back to the dealer but im worried that it might cancel my warranty. Anyone knows about that? what should i do?

Check for blown fuses. You can fix that yourself for about $2.

If you managed to overheat some of the wiring, they may or may not be able to tell whether it was your own fault. We can't answer that without actually knowing what's damaged (in detail).

If the bulbs are stock Wattage, there is no problem there. If there is no problem with the HID's, and they are lower than stock wattage, there is no problem there. High wattage bulbs can melt the connectors and cause a short if installed to a stock harness. As noted, check the fuses.

If there is no provable connection between the aftermarket parts and OEM, the dealer has no legal right to void your warrantee per the Moss-Magnusen Act. Furthermore, it is their responsibility to prove that your aftermarket parts caused the problem. It's boreing, but definately an article that everyone with a dealer warrantee should read.

you would do yourself a favor to return everything to stock before going to the dealer.

Moss-magnusen is there...but if they cant see the mods...

I was going to say this. Return the car to 100% stock and take it to the dealer and tell them the fog lights don't work anymore. Do not tell them you put any aftermarket parts on there.
