What is EXC CALIF EQPD, REAR - OE STYLE?
Hi,
My car's rear oxygen sensor is faulty and I am planning to buy Denso 234-4797 Oxygen Sensor (Air and Fuel Ratio Sensor) from amazon. There, the part finder shows that this model fits for my car. However, it shows the fitment note "EXC CALIF EQPD, REAR - OE STYLE". I am not sure what it is.
Can someone please let me know the significance of this fitment note? How can I confirm if this sensor fits my car?
My car is 2004 Honda Accord LX 2.4L 4 Cylinder Engine.
Thank you.

California has different emmision standards, and cars sold in Calif. have some different parts. The fitment note just says that this part is not for (excludes) California models.

^^^ Yep.
Generally, California has stricter emission standards; so, some of the Hondas sold in California are ULEV (ultra low emission vehicle), SULEV (super ultra low emission vehicle), PZEV (partial zero emission vehicle), etc., etc. I live in California, my Accord is a PZEV.
