Default Where is the Fuel sending unit located on 94 accord

The fuel gauge is not accurate and never reaches "full" on my fill ups. So thinking of replacing the fuel sending unit. Where is it located? Is it hard to replace? And a rough est. of the price? Do they make aftermarket ones or is this a dealer only part? I have a 94 accord EX. Thx

It is located within the fuel tank. I believe you have to remove the fuel tank (not a fun job)on the 94 models to access it.

it is located in the tank but you DO NOT have to remove the tank to replace it,, there is an access cover, ( 3 phillip screws) remove them, unplug the connector, there are 5 -6 ,10mm nuts , remove them, pull out the sending unit. ,,, cover is located in the trunk under the mat rt side,,

I knew that was the case on the 98-02 models. But I remember TexasHonda said he removed the entire gas tank on his 94 to change the fuel pump. Did TexasHonda waste a lot of time and effort there? or am I missing something? The sending unit is part of the fuel pump right?

for the fuel pump you have to drop the fuel tank out ,,sending unit is a separate part , not connected to pump

is this a common failure component for 94 accords? Mine actually has the same issue but I'm usually to broke to fill up the gas tank anyway so I just live with it...

My 94 EX fuel gauge is still fine after 13 yrs and 215K miles. I drove it 400 miles on a tank last week and needle was dead on the E mark, but the "Low Fuel" light never engaged. It held 14.2 gallons or about 28 mpg. I think absolute capacity is 17 gallons, but that may include a bit of unusable fuel. Thatfuel mileageis what I've been doing lately on a mixed speed (30-65 mph) drive of 50 miles each way w/ a driving time of about 1 hr each way.

regards
