Hello. I've got speedometer and flashing D4 problems on my 1994 Accord EX. After researching online I found that the problem is most likely my VSS. I bought the part, have it in hand ready to install but I cant find the damn thing on the car. I have seen several diagrams on the internet like the one below but maybe I'm blind, I don't see it anywhere near my distributor. Is this diagram wrong? Can anyone help?

 

it's a little hard to see, but it's going to be under the intake manifold on top of the transmission (on top of where the axles go into it, not where the bell housing is). I don't know if that diagram is correct. I had to buy a long screw driver to get to it, but it's not too bad. You'll see an electrical connector going to it and you just unclip that. There will two screws holding it in, take those out, swap the sensor, and you're good to go.

 

Find it? Look farther back & farther down. That cartoon shows it like the distributor & half the tranny is transparent, & you're looking thru to the VSS which is hidden from view.
